Hey!
My name is Shannon, i’m an Event and Lifestyle Photographer from Perth, Western Australia.
My lil hobby for Photography started when I picked up my first Olympus silver digital camera at the age of 8! I loved taking photos of my dog, family holidays to Melbourne, primary school disco’s. After being obsessed with documenting life, printing off all my photos from Kmart and hanging them on my bedroom wall. I adventured into the YouTube content creation world and I started documenting my life growing up from starting high school at age 13 and into adulthood for 11 years.
Alongside making YouTube videos, I studied Photography in High School and it was a subject I really enjoyed. I remember buying my first Canon 60d and took it everywhere with me! After graduating high school Photography was always a hobby I never thought it would become my career until I started a Photography TAFE course in 2017. During this course I learnt more about the business side of Photography and said to myself - I can do this!
Because I am such a people person, I decided to try out Event Photography. So, in February 2017 I invested my savings into a fancy camera and created my business. At the time the business was called ‘Shannonuncut Photography’, named after my first YouTube channel that I created in 2012. This name was well known around my friends, family and my online following so it seemed like a great basis to start with. I told my friends and family about my business on Facebook, and not too long after I photographed a 21st birthday! I had so much fun at the event and realised this is definitely what I want to pursue.
As I got older and my business started to grow. I decided it was time for a change as I wanted to spice things up with this business. In January 2020 I decided that was the year for making changes and the first step was changing my business name and creating a new brand for myself. Hunter and Wolf is something different, fun and interesting - I honestly don’t know how this name came to my mind but I thought of it (with the help of my family) and it just felt right! You know when something just feels so right it’s hard to explain - well that’s how I felt when I came up with Hunter and Wolf.
Each day I pick up my camera and love the challenge of a new project. No two events are ever the same and I get a thrill from trying to capture the spirit and atmosphere of each event.
I have an interest and love of people! I am such a people person.
I think that why, with a camera in my hand, I pick up emotions, moments and stories.
I love what I do and I try to bring a relaxed, fun but highly professional atmosphere to every photographic assignment.
